Top 5 Hacks To Deal With A Quarter-Life Crisis


I want to catch a breath or get a big fat (and EXPLICIT) sign from the universe that this is what I need to do or where I need to go to just feel alright.


We all just want to be ok. So if you suspect that you might be going through a quarter-life crisis after reading my earlier post on 'Top 5 Signs You Are Going Through A Quarter-Life Crisis', I hope that you will find these Top 5 hacks useful in helping you overcome this crazy period of your life.


5. ADMIT YOU'RE UNHAPPY

The first step to addressing the crisis at hand, is to admit that there is even a crisis. Acknowledge your feelings and know that it is ok to feel not ok, especially if it is about certain life choices that are making you feel stuck or trapped.


4. TAKE A TIME OUT

Sometimes we just need some time away from our current situation. This could mean going away for a holiday, quitting your job, or changing to a different place. You may find that having a good time-out can even help you avoid making hasty decisions and provide you some time to think what is best.


3. REFLECT & VISUALIZE

I find it helping to reflect on what you want by visualizing the kind of life that you desire. This will help ease you into accepting the possibility of change and making choices that can help redirect your life to where it needs to be. One good consideration is to note down what are your strengths and interests growing up. Here are some cute journals to help you verbalize your thoughts and life goals:











You may even reach out to someone whom you trust to confide your thoughts and seek their advice, and who knows! You might even start to feel excited about this new chapter of change.


2. MAKE NEW GOALS

Once you have a sense of the future that you want, set some goals and a timeline of when you would want to achieve them. Do note that such ambitions should be realistic and attainable, so that once you have them set, you can stand firm on your goals. Avoid comparing yourself to your peers and believe in yourself, cause know that only you can decide what your life purpose and direction should be.


1. LEAVE

Once you are ready, take that plunge! Get up and go. Because you can't be free of a situation that you continuously allow yourself to remain trapped in. In fact, this is probably the scariest step to take, but this might just be a necessary risk for something much better.
